End Date : 20 October 2019 (Sunday) for 50km and 100km only

Venue : Gardens by the Bay East ­(Rhu Cross, next to Passion Wave @ Marina Bay)

If you are visiting this page, you must be seriously considering taking on the challenge of running an ultramarathon. For your bravery, we salute you! Please bear in mind that the ultramarathon distance will be challenging for those who have not adequately prepare for the distance however, we have designed the course in such a way that there will be lesser pressure on your timing as we want everyone to be able to complete the race. The 50km solo ultramarathon will have a cut off time of 12 hours, 50km Duo (25km each runner) cut off time is 5 hours, and the 100km, 24 hours.

By entering the race, you declare that you agree to abide by the rules of the race and accept full responsibility for your actions (and the actions of your supporters) throughout the day of the race. You can confirm that the medical details provided are accurate as of the time of submitting your entry, and you will be responsible for providing updated medical details to the organisers on the date of the race should my medical circumstances change. You also agree that any videos or photos taken during the event can be used by the race organisers for marketing purposes. You understand that the race organisers will keep my contact details on record for communication purposes only and won’t provide details to any third parties.

 

All participants of Sg Ultramarathon 2019 will receive a Ultimate Direction running singlet, Ultimate Direction finisher T-shirt, finisher medal and an e-certificate. Trophies will be awarded to the Top three finishers of each respective race categories and all winners will be based on gun time. Age is taken as of event day.

Categories & Fees

Minimum participation age is 18 & Above for all categories.

50km Duo* : Team can consist of 2 Men / 2 Women / Man & Woman. 25km per runner (Flag off together). The top 3 Teams will each receive a trophy each.

All runners who complete the abovementioned race categories within the stipulated cut off time will each receive a UD Sg Ultramarathon finisher medal and a UD Sg Ultramarathon Finisher T-shirt.

 

  • All winners will be based on Gun Time.

Ultramarathon Categories

 

50km Solo

Take on this unique opportunity push yourself to the next level of running experience, an Ultramarathon. The Ultramarathon is a race that is longer than a full marathon distance of 42.195km. 50km is considered an ultramarathon distance and appeals to serious runners and it should not be taken lightly even though there are ample time given for the course.

 

50km Duo (25km per runner, team of 2)

This race will consist of a 25 Km loop. Perfect distance for those runners who have competed in half marathons and who wish to progress to the next level. By registering for 50km Duo, both runners will have to complete 25km each and they will do it together i.e. start together. Do it together with a friend, your running buddy, a colleague and be proud of your achievement once you cross the finishing line.

 

100km Solo

Take on this unique opportunity push yourself to the next level of running experience, an Ultramarathon. 100km is considered an ultramarathon distance and appeals to serious runners and it should not be taken lightly even though there are ample time given for the course.

 

Important Note for Ultramarathon Participants:

Participation in this event is at the runner’s own risk. Although the organizer has experienced medical personnel at various points along the course, it difficult for medical assistance to reach runners immediately. Each runner is encouraged to consult with his or her own personal doctor regarding any physical or medical limitations before attempting the race. It is important for each entrant to recognise the potential physical and mental stresses which may evolve from participation in an Ultramarathon distance.

 

Runners may be subjected to extremes of heat, dehydration, hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, disorientation and mental and physical exhaustion. The organiser and the medical staff strive to work with runners. They will do all they reasonably can to ensure “safe passage”, but ultimately runners must understand their own limitations and it is better to follow the dictates of your body and not your ambitions. Adequate physical and mental conditioning prior to the Run is mandatory. If you have not been able to prepare properly, do not attempt to run an ultramarathon distance.

 

Aid stations

There will be sufficient aid stations, water and sports drinks will be offered at all the aid stations and they are approximately 5km to 6km apart. Food will be provided for 50km, 84km & 100km Ultramarathon runners however, as much as possible you are encouraged to be self-sufficient as individual preference & suitability for nutrition defers.

 

Fully equipped ambulances and paramedics will be on standby along the race route and end point.

 

Baggage check in facility and its location

It will be located at the event venue near the information counter. Participants are encouraged to tag their own bags as this will help reduce the waiting time at the bag drop off counter. 

 

Cut off time

The cut off time for 50km Solo is 12 hours, 50km Duo is 5 hours, and 100km Solo is 24 hours respectively after the official flag off time.
